No other organization
can bring as much opportunity for networking, or help its members to keep
abreast of developments, enrich personal and staff development, and influence
change in the reservation call center industry as can the IARE.
How can I get
involved in IARE leadership?
Our association depends on YOU and YOUR
involvement!
It is our goal to have fair representation on
the Board and our committees from all the types of companies present in our
membership.
To be eligible to serve on the Board, you must be
the designated Principal, Associate or Allied Representative from an IARE Principal,
Associate or Allied member company.
Nominees to the Board will commit to serve a
two-year term and the terms will be staggered so that there is some
continuity as well as annual turn-over.
Board members are elected annually at the IARE Conference. To be considered
for a Board position, individuals must complete the Board
Nomination Form.
Board members will attend all Board meetings
to conduct the business of the association and will chair committees that
accomplish the mission and vision of our association.
The Board convenes in person twice yearly --
in the spring at the IARE Annual Conference (at your expense), and once in
the fall over a weekend. (Travel expenses may be reimbursed by IARE for the
fall meeting.) Every Board member is expected to attend these two
meetings each year.
Board meets via conference call every month
to review pertinent issues and ongoing projects. The total time commitment
varies but, depending on your committee responsibilities, normally requires
about three to six hours per month.

If you're not ready for a Board position but would
like to contribute, consider applying for a Board Affiliate position
or join a committee!
Board Affiliates participate much like Board
members and assist with Board projects and chair committees. Although they
are not required to participate in every Board meeting, it is important to
attend Board meetings whenever possible and to communicate regularly with
Board and staff. Board Affiliates are also considered when an appointment is
necessary to fill a vacant Board position.
